Document text
Editing, conversion and document search run in your browser. The demo does not store documents on a server or send them to an AI model. Copy important work into your application. The storage example can explicitly save a snapshot locally in this browser.
Preferences and search
The selected theme and language are stored in localStorage. The Save and restore example writes the document JSON and CSS only when you click Save snapshot; Delete snapshot removes this local copy. Search loads a static index of public documentation and filters it locally. Editor content is not included in the index.
Cookies and your choice
Accept cookies allows essential local storage and Yandex Metrica analytics, including Session Replay. Accept partially keeps only essential site preferences, without analytics. The theme, language and cookie choice are stored in localStorage, a browser storage mechanism separate from cookies. Your choice is saved in this browser until you change it or clear site data; another browser will ask again. The editor works with either choice.
You can change your choice using Cookie settings in the footer. Revoking analytics stops Metrica and Session Replay. When opt-out is safely stored, the page reloads; copy any unsaved document first. This stops further collection but does not delete data already sent. If full acceptance could not be saved, it applies only to the current page.
Analytics opt-out is also stored in the essential vitext-site-analytics-denied-v1 cookie on this domain for up to one year and in the current tab’s sessionStorage until the tab closes. These markers contain only opt-out, not a visitor identifier, and override earlier permission. Explicit full acceptance removes them; when localStorage is available, opt-out is saved there too. If the browser blocks saving, the site shows a notice, stops the counter and does not trust old permission in immutable storage on a new page load.
Yandex Metrica
Yandex Metrica (counter 113518675) starts only after you select Accept cookies. It helps us assess traffic and site usability by tracking page views, navigation and clicks; Session Replay records interactions with the interface. The service uses cookies and may receive page URLs, referrers, IP addresses and browser and device information. Editor areas, HTML output, embedded examples and the builder are excluded from Session Replay; site search is also hidden. Our integration does not send documents or search queries in analytics events. The counter does not load before a choice or after partial acceptance. Analytics is also disabled without JavaScript.
Yandex privacy policy · Yandex Metrica opt-out extension
Our analytics events include only our domain, path and utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign codes. Codes may contain up to 64 Latin letters, digits and . _ ~ - characters; duplicate and other parameters are excluded, and fragments are never sent. External links and incoming sources are reduced to their domain. Automatic link tracking is replaced with events using cleaned addresses; links inside the editor and hidden areas are ignored. If the current address, an internal navigation destination or the original referrer contains other parameters, invalid campaign codes or a fragment, the counter does not start or is stopped until a new page load with permitted addresses. This protects against Session Replay reading the address itself and does not change your cookie choice or browser address.
External resources
Images entered by URL may load from the server you specify. GitHub links open an external service. Native spellcheck depends on your browser; enhanced browser spellcheck may use its own network services.
Hosting
The site runs on a Selectel VPS. Caddy receives the IP address and technical request details to deliver pages and HTTPS. The vitext.ru access log is disabled; web server diagnostics may contain connection error details. Editor text is not sent to the server.
Your application
When you integrate ViText, your application manages document storage, authentication, file uploads and its own data policy.
